Here in New Zealand, we are celebrating the 125th anniversary of Women's Suffrage - the exact date being 19 September.
We are busy celebrating this world-first occasion here at the library, and hopefully raising awareness of voting rights for all people around the world.
One of our teachers sent out a link to make paper camellia flowers - which are a symbol of the suffrage movement here in NZ - so of course, the challenge was on to make some for the library. Finicky work - but well worth the effort. Do drop us an email if you would like a copy of this particular poster - it is not on the site, but I'm happy to share it. :)
